This watercolor painting is of the famous bronze ducks created by Nancy Schon that reside in the Boston Public Garden near the corner of Beacon and Charles Street. The statues are based on a picture book written and illustrated by Robert McCloskey. Mrs. Mallard and her eight ducklings are a must-see for any visitor to the Boston Area. About the Artist: P.J. Szufnarowski received her degree from Boston College in 1989. She lived in Greece from 1989 to 1990 and studied further at the University of the Aegean. P.J. then moved to Key West, Florida where she lived for five years. She worked as an art instructor in Key West and then back in Belmont, Massachusetts for a period of seven years, during which time she completed several permanent public art installations with her students. P.J. now lives in Boston and works as an artist full time. She travels the United States and abroad in search of scenic subject matter for her watercolor paintings. P.J. paints watercolors of scenic areas in New England, traveling from Maine to Cape Cod and nearby islands, such as Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. She visits the Florida Keys frequently and works in watercolor, painting scenes of Key West.
